Dr. George W. Pegram III

Dr. Pegram Graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1992. At that time he took over his father’s private practice in Chesapeake, VA. Since then he has opened a second location together with Dr. James Cornetta in Norfolk, VA.  Dr. Pegram is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Virginia Academy of Optometry. He is the former president of the Tidewater Optometric Society.

Dr. James V. Cornetta

Upon his graduation from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee Dr. Cornetta took over his father’s private practice in Portsmouth, VA.  In 1997 Dr. Cornetta was voted Virginia Optometrist of the year. He possesses the maximum licensing from the Virginia Board of Optometry for the use of medicine in an Optometric practice. He treats over 5,000 patients annually for routine examinations, contact lenses and other specific eye care problems. He is the former treasurer, Vice President and President of the Tidewater Optometric Society, and had held similar positions with the Virginia Optometric Association. He is also a member of the contact lens section of the Virginia Academy of Optometry and the Virginia Lion’s Club.

Dr. Mandy Martin

Dr. Martin is the full time Optometrist at Ghent Eye Care. She graduated “Cum Laude” from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis and is a member of their academic honors fraternity. She periodically performs comprehensive eye exams at Westminster Canterbury retirement community in Virginia Beach. Dr. Martin is a current member of the American Optometric Association, The Virginia Optometric Association and the Tidewater Optometric Society.
